Urgent! Travelling outside UK as dependent on FLR ( M)

Post by Kindsoul » Wed Jan 20, 2016 9:08 am

Hi my wife is on FLR (M ) visa and needs to travel in emergency. Can anyone plz advise how long can she stay outside UK without affecting her future application?
Please note that I have ILR on 10 years basis .

Any prompt advise will be greatly appreciated as we are in the middle of leaving.. Thanks

There is no set period of time allowed, but absence for holidays or compassionate reasons won't cause a problem even if these are for several months. The only issue would be if your wife was absent more than 90 days in the 12 months before applying for British citizenship as this would delay her qualifying date. Ensure your wife returns before her FLR(M) visa expires.

Thanks very much CASA for such a prompt reply. Much appreciated. My wife's visa extension is due on July 2017. Is she fine going for few months? Plz advise as it might be several months there, really don't know at this time. Just want to ensure that it does not creat any problem during extension.

Thanks very much again CASA.

A few months away won't be a problem.
