Tier 2 Child born in Uk

Post by alimista15 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 7:07 am

Hi,

My child born in Oct 2015 in UK, I will be eligible for ILR through Tier 2 in July 2018 and in April 2018 through 10 years route.

My wife will be eligible in August 2019 as she came here in August 2014.

I am extending my and wife's visa in June this year for another 3 years. I will also include my child as a dependant as we want to visit homeland country.

Now based on above information, would my child will be eligible for British Passport as soon as I get my ILR ?

Please add some reference only if possible :)

Thank you so much

No. Child must register first.

Thanks for your reply Vinny.

Sorry I didn't understood your other reply.

Does my child has to stay 10 years before eligible for british citizenship regardless of which route i use for ILR :?

Thanks again

So my child can register as british citizenship as soon as I get my ILR 5 years route or 10 tens, just because my child born in britain ? :)

Thanks a ton

They can register when you are granted ILR as advised by Vinny - form MN1
