BPR collection time falls in bank holidays

Post by neohk » Wed Jan 27, 2016 1:00 am

Hi.
I intended to travel on 18/3 as my entrance clearance starts from that day.
My decision letter says the BRP is available from 25/3, which is Easter and I have to collect it 10 days from arrival.
The problem is that I don't see how I can collect the BRP during the Easter Holidays from the Post Office and the 10day limit would expire after the Easter on 29/3. (12 days)

The UKVI contact form has been unhelpful. The guy just send me a link on BRP which is generic.
Any ideas?

Thank you.

Easter is just 2 bank holiday days: 25 & 28 March, 2016.
Otherwise Post Office should be open as normal.

Thanks. The website says they open on saturdays as well and that is the only day I could collect the BRP without violating the 10 day rule.
I just thought it is strange that they would come back on a saturday when it is still festive

Easter is not particularly festive. In some surveys less than 50% of Britons identify as Christian.
Certainly where I live shops are open on Christmas day too.
