Joint claim

Post by Fiona86 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 6:49 pm

Hello, I am British and my partner is from New Zealand. He has been living and working here for 10 years with visas. We are now going through the the citizenship process, he has passed the life in the UK test which they required. We have 3 small children in which I claim child benefit but we joint claim child tax credit but it is paid into my account. Will this effect his chance of getting citizenship? I'm unsure about the whole subject to immigration control and if I've now wrongly claimed.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
