Can i apply for Tier 2 extension twice?

Hi, I've applied for Tier 2 visa first time in 2012, then back in August 2015 I applied for extension and i was granted again until August 2017.

At that time I only applied for 2 years extension because i thought that the maximum Tier 2 stay only until total 5 years, while it's actually 6 years. So I'm wondering if I can apply for extension again for another year later in 2017?
