Speed Awareness Course and Tier 2 Visa Application

Post by lakunsin » Mon Feb 08, 2016 10:15 pm

Hello Respected members of the House,

Please i need your honest answer to my query.
In 2013, i was flashed by a speed camera doing 34mph in a 30mph zone and 5 days later I received a letter through the post asking me to pay and go for a Speed Awareness Course which i did.
Fast forward 3 years later and i am about to extend my Tier 2 visa and would like to know if i need to declare this incident under Fixed Penalty Fine or not?
I will be applying next week Monday and i would be grateful if anyone can provide a very honest answer to this query.

Regards

It's not required since Court not involved but I would anyway, shows honesty and and a willingness not to hide things, which IMHO opinion is a truer test.

Up to you though...

Thanks for your response (apologies that i am just replying now :) )
Do you think I should enclose the Notice of Intention to Prosecute letter i received through the post and the subsequent letter inviting me to attend the drivers awareness course or just a note detailing the contents of both letters and the fact that i received no points and was not fined either.

p.s. I was unable to apply on Monday as i earlier planned due to unforeseen circumstances.
