Tier 2 General English lang ordinary IELTS

Post by Eve_s » Fri Feb 12, 2016 12:33 pm

Hi all,

I recently passed ordinary IELTS (not UKVI), since it was on the closest date and visa support from my employer said it is ok. The place my test took place in is an authorised centre (so ordinary IELTS and IELTS UKVI tests are taken there on different dates). However, guys in IELTS office told me that it is not IELTS UKVI and I will not receive UKVI number and thus visa officer will not take the result. I received my certificate today and there is no UKVI number indeed. Visa support guys are sure, that the certificate is ok, since I took IELTS in an authorised test center from the UKVI list. They want me to apply for visa ASAP.

Are there chances that I can get my visa with ordinary IELTS? Do I risk to get a refusal or I will be told that my test result is not good in advance, before sending documents to an officer?

Should my employer reissue COS if I get a refusal?

Thank you.
