Employee Start Date

Home office requires this information and I have read one or 2 rejections due to non-clarity of Employee start date.

I understand that FPS gives Full payment submission details but does it include Employee start date?

Does FPS shows all employees paid in a particular month?(Everybody on the payroll) I guess so.

Or accountant can generate FPS/RTI record against each employee(separate)

What should I ask from my accountant to make it clear the employee(s) start date

The First FPS will have the employee start date.Its being generated monthly so yes you can get for each month for each employee separately.

FPS report shows payroll information submitted to HMRC usually about all employees over a month (if you pay monthly). This includes any starters/leavers details for that month.

i ve got the same ( as the sample) but it has not got any heading like FPS rather its title is EMPLOYERS SUMMARY and does not show leaver and starter detail.

my Current accountant is Providing me FPS which shows starter and leavers info...

I ve changed 3 accountants and i dont know if they will be able to provide this back dated to as long as april 2014 when first employee started.

Is anyway my current accountant can sort this out OR can i ask HMRC to provide me this as i ve seen few visas refused on this.

Employers summary is usually called P32 report. It has all the FPS information except for starters/leavers. You better call you previous accountants and ask them to give you the FPS reports if possible.

PS. I am at the moment in the process of trying to see if I can access any FPS information for my company online via HMRC government gateway website. I will report in few days after I got to activate it

Thanks and please share with us your experience. if this was possible it will make our job much easier. i can register with HMRC Gateway and get it from there.

i dont even mind going to all 3 accountants but i am not confident they will provide what i am looking for coz i know at least one of them how he was.
