Child born in UK before either parents had ILR

Post by Slaicha » Sun Dec 13, 2015 4:45 pm

Hello there ,

I am a 19 years old born in the Uk . When I was 7 years old my dad was granted residence order and shifted to his mother overseas, but still the High court granted me a contact order to visit both separated parents every year in the Uk. At the time neither of the parents had settled status.

My mother has been granted leave to remain ( 2 years ) and the dad is still waiting for the decision.

I was wondering if the rule : children born after one of their parent has a settled status can apply to register has a British citizen.

I was wondering if in my case it is possible .

Thank you .

1. You ceased to be a child when you turned 18-years-and-1-second old. You are an adult now.
2. Neither of your parents have settled status even today.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

I have not lived in the UK continously.
A solicitor told me I could apply for discretionay leave to remain is it true?
My dad received a letter from the home office saying I should apply for leave to remain now I want to know whether that means discretionay or indefinite leave remain will they consider exceptional circumstances?
