I take it you have a COS certificate from the employer willing to sponsor your Tier 2 General.
It is an online application for Tier 2 General, and you can apply here -> https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general

You can also book for a PEO appointment after submitting your application online.

Thank you O'relly.
1. Please do I need to pay the healthcare surcharge?
2. Please will the fee of £651 change after April 2016?

1. Yes you will need to pay the health surcharge, which is £200 per year of visa granted. So £600 for 3 years.
2. Yes, there is a 2% fee increase from April 2016. See this table here,
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 016-17.pdf

From the table above it appears the current fee is £564, which will become £575.

Does T2G also use the point based system?

That's correct for in-country switch and extensions. I was looking at EC applications from outside the UK.

Dear O relly+ gurus,

I have checked the website for the documents required for switching to T2G.

Please apart from the following:

(i) obtaining the COS from employer
(ii) showing bank statements of > £945.00 for 90 days
(iii) Providing passports/BRP and Photo x2
(iv) Completed Visa Application Form and confirmation email
(v) Health Surcharge Reference Number and payment confirmation
(vi) PBS calculator printout for English

For same day applications, is there any other documents required?

Please is there any other item/document missing? Please do tell me I don’t want to make any mistake as the money for the application is not easy to come by.

Dear Gurus,
In addition to some above unanswered questions, Please is it possible to simultaneously obtain two COSs from two different employers and decides to choose only one for VISA application?
many thanks

You don't need a COS from each potential employer to make up your mind which one to take.....
The employment offer letter will state your salary and other benefits and possibly even have the contract of employment. All of which is far more detailed than a COS.

A COS is not a legally binding document for employment neither is it a guarantee of employment. It is merely a pathway document to allow you to apply for a visa.

Not entirely sure if the PBS system allows two live COS at any one time. I am sure others will know that answer.

Those applying for ILR do not pay the health surcharge.
