H1 B travel on previous company visa

Post by leadfoot » Thu Dec 06, 2007 11:27 am

Hi,

I recently transferred my H-1B visa from Employer A to Employer B.

I have a visa stamp from Employer A which is valid until June ,2008. I am planning to travel to Delhi, India on Dec -2007. Inititally I was not planning to get a visa stamp since it was already valid till June 2008, but the attorneys for previous employer A told me that they will withdraw my H-1B petition. In this case, do I have to get a new visa with the approval from new employer B.

Please advise.

.

The visa is sponsored by the company you work for. If you no longer work for that company, it cannot sponsor you.

The company you currently work for must be your sponsor.

The 'transfer' of the visa between companies is something I suspect was not possible.
