Completing CH2 Form

Post by ASIF82 » Fri Feb 19, 2016 3:11 pm

Hello Form Members,

I have recently got ILR and need to apply for child benefits as my pay threshold as less than 50K. My wife still on dependant as she will receive ILR in 2019.
I am completing form CH2 and found out that I have to give childs mother information. DO you think by giving that information would it hinder her visa application in future.
SOme of the questions I was not sure about and hopefully can get any help from this forum.
30) Does your partner have comprehensive sickness insurance?
33) is your partner entitled to child benefits?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

#33 No (for wife)

Only claim CB in your name if its only you entitled to do so..

Hi noajthan, thanks for your response.
I am still confused as 'Only claim CB in your name if its only you entitled to do so' what does this entails. I am entitled to that and not sure how can I only claim in my name as has to share my wife details in the form which itself kills the whole purpose of claiming in my name? is that right or I am overly too cautious.

Kind Regards

In the past when I qualified for CB (child benefit) I was able to provide only my details & claim in my name only.
Keep your wife out of any such claim if not entitled to public funds.

You may include your partners details insofar as you are the applicant.
