Conversion from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General / ILR

HI , I am in the UK since November 2010 till date on a Tier 2 ICT Visa (Established Staff) Any chances I can convert this to Tier 2 General or ILR.

You can continue to apply extension and apply for ILR after 10 years in UK. OR you can move to Tier 2 General and apply for ILR after 5 years on T2 G visa.

HI , Many Thanks. As I am a bit new to this , can you let me know how can I convert to Tier 2 general i.e which documents are required to do that. Also for the 10 years option , do I have to stay in the UK for a continuous period of 10 years , or can take breaks in the middle.
