Moving to marry in Ireland, what to say on border control?

Post by mchiareli » Tue Mar 01, 2016 11:09 pm

Hey Guys,

My fiance is EU Citizen and she lives in Ireland already. Soon I am flying to move there and we are getting married.

I have with me the appointment for the civil ceremony and all papers from her work and residence proof. Would I have any problem in border control if I tell them I am there to marry/move? As a visitor I am allowed to stay in the country for 90 days, but I don't feel like its a good idea to omit my purpose.

I never lived in Ireland before and I am going to apply to the stamp4 after the wedding.

Thanks
