Currently in NHS the stock of vaccine is low till summer 2016.
So it'll be good if you can get your child vaccinated in India.

Check with local doctor.
In UK, it's impacting children.

I called UKVI today and the call centre guy told me a decision has been made and application has been closed.
VFS will contact you about collecting the documents.

Don't know what does this mean ?

Can't figure if it indicates application has been approved or not ?

They didn't send us any email about a decision has been made.

Call centre guy told me decision has been made yesterday and application was closed.

I hope they are OK with baby photos and hospital docs which we sent to them last week.

I think positive with this update. There must be a different way of communication when application not approved. Let me know when you have final updates. I'm chasing UKVI today for the update and will share it with you too.

Hi Shri,

Called them again and they said BDHC will send all documents to VFS and VFS will complete their standard sign off process and send those documents to my home adrress.

Seems it's positive decision as they made decision within 1 day after receiving baby's photos and hospital documents.

I hope we get the dociuments with approval sticker in the passport.

Your application for a UK visa has been processed and dispatched. VFS will be in touch soon about collection/delivery of your documents.
You are advised to ensure that all relevant documents have been returned to you and that all details have been correctly annotated.
UKVI cannot be held responsible for any delays or costs incurred due to any inaccuracies which have not been brought to our attention within a reasonable time scale.

From the subject line and wording of the email, does it indicate anything about approved or not ?

I read some members saying the subject line should have a 7 digit reference number to indicate approval.
But the email I got doesn't have 7 digit reference number in subject line. Is this indicating anything ?

I hope all is well. EC would've asked for additional document or clarification in last 1 week if there was any doubt. I'll keep you updating on it.

I think not. Applicants usually have to wait until they collect the passports to know whether an application has been successful.

I've recieved an email and SMS telling that the decision has been made on the application and documents are about to courier to choosen address. I hope all is well and waiting to see passport stamped with COE.

We've received the passport stamped with the CoE sticker today. I'm really relieved and happy now. It was really a stressful process.

Timeline:
- Application applied: 22/Feb/2016
- Application decision made: 01/Mar/2016
- Passport reached to home by 04/Mar/2016

I'm so thankful of Hima, Naveen, CR00 and Vinny and others whoever contributed in the ROA thread. This forum helped me a lot.
I'll try my best to answer all questions in the future whoever post in this thread. This thread is very useful for all people looking for ROA for their kids in the future.

Got passport with visa stamping on 4th March, 2016.

I thought of going to India to bing my wife and child but not feeling well due to flu.
Can my son travel with my wife to UK?
As he is claiming right of abode based on me, should I manadatorily accompany him to UK on his first arrival in UK ?

In his ROA application ,we mentioned he is travelling with mother.
Please let me know if I mandatorily accompany him or mother is sufficient.

The links you gave are for the cases where child is travelling with other adults who are not parents. It says:
"The following should be borne in mind when a child / infant is accompanied by other adults and not traveling with their parents."

But in my case, my son is travelling with my wife. He has his mother's name in his passport.

Do I still have to give my consent letter ?

For safeside, she will carry baby's birth certificate, our marriage certificate also.

When do I need to use a Child Travel Consent?

If the child is travelling with both birth parents, a Child Travel consent should not be needed. However, in any other situation (for example, the child is travelling with only one birth parent, or a grandparent or other guardian), a Child Travel Consent is recommended, especially for international travel. My wife is travelling with my son this Friday.
So technically I got only 3 days left before her travel.
If I get my chil travel consent letter notarized, can I scan it and send it ? Ot should I send the original notarized document only?

If there isn't enough time to send the original, then a scanned copy may be better than nothing. I don't know how strict the airlines are on these matters. If they are not strict at all, then they may not require anything else apart from passports and clearances to the UK, etc. If travelling with Air India, then could probably use the form linked to previously.

My wife & son are travelling with British Airways.
I took the printout of the the airindia form and I can fill details and sign it giving consent for my wife to travel with my son to UK.

Do I still need to get this form notarised in UK ? Or a scanned copy with my signature and passport details sufficient ?

My son's surname is my surname.
In my son's passport, we got same full names of me and my wife(with her birth surname).

Just now I called UK Visas & Immigration, they told me only if me and my wife ae divorced, then only she needs consent letter from me. Otherwise it's not at all required.
