Right of work checks

Post by a.s.b.o » Wed Mar 02, 2016 1:36 pm

My ad-hoc employer of many years went down that route to check my right of work after 10 odd years. I genuinely need a fake Romanian passport in the name of Borat Sagdyev.

and was filmed in Romania. hence, the connection!

On the subject, I lived in Sweden, where ability to get a personnumer (equivalent of NINO) requires identity and immigration checks. Once done and ID issued, I do not need to scan and email my passport every time I attend a barber shop.

If you were from Norway, Finland, Iceland or Denmark, you could live in Sweden with no documentation at all thanks to the Nordic Passport Union.

In fact you can travel between these countries by any means and as long as you appear to be Nordic, you won't even be asked for ID.

I'm wondering what the status of this agreement is nowadays with the temporary suspension of Schengen between Denmark and Sweden.
