Need suggestion for re-joining team for T1E extension?

I am new to the group and recently found about this board.
I hope i'll will get right suggestion.

Me and my friend are on T1E visa under 50k route. we both aren't not applied together but we both were got visa under two different teams and our both team partner switched to different categories. Now we both want to form together to go for T1E extension which is due in July 2017. Is this possible?

Our Situations:
Myself: I am on T1E visa under 50k route. Visa issued on 22nd July 14 applied as a team but my team partner switched to sponsored visa (tier 2) in October 14. Since Oct'14 I am running consultancy business, it is very hard to run on my own, so far I didn't receive any profits and i'm on loss now. so I am on my own since Aug'14 to till now.

My friend: He's on T1E visa under 50k route as well. his visa issued on 4th July 14, he applied as a team but his team partner switched to ILR 15days ago under 10years route. Since their visa issued they both are operating Petro garages individually. So my friend is on his own since Aug'14 to till now.

Now we want to form together and planning to run our both businesses together for our extensions.

You are not allowed to join someone else to form an entrepreneurial team after your were granted Tier 1E visa. However you can both work in the same business as directors but your extensions will be separate and you should declare that your business partner is a separate Tier 1E applicant, on the extension form. You are also NOT allowed to use the same evidence for investment or job creation.
Also be careful that if you join the business of some other Tier 1E person as director, you will be considered to have joined an existing business and as you probably know, you must submit extra evidence during your extension/ILR (given in the guide)

Also there is Genuine entrepreneur test. You will have to explain how your consulting fit's his petro garage. You will need of course 4 new jobs.
