free-lancing work/permanent residence in germany

Post by jpkov » Fri Dec 14, 2007 9:24 pm

so i'm about to graduate from a university in the US (am a US national), and my hope is to go work in germany after i am done. i hope to someday be a permanent resident. BUT i am a contemporary/dancer performer, and the type of work that most interests me is project to project based (ie, without a steady employer). i'm having trouble finding out what my options are given the situation. could somebody help me with that?
there are organizations that could sponsor my papers, but i couldn't work for them full time. does that help things?
any help would be greatly appreciated
