changing status from EEA Family permit to WORK PERMMIT

Hi I am 26 years old guy from India, i am here in UK from last almost 4 years.. my parents are portuguese so on thier basis i got EEA family permit to UK. i am recently married to a indian girl and i wish to bring her here. my wife already applied for visa on the basis of my status as well as my parents status but her application was refused and has been advice to wait untill i get PR.

My question here is that i am looking farward to change my status from EEA Family permit to UK WORK PERMIT.. so tha i can have my own status in Uk and i can sponsor my wife. i am working at the moment in UK as Assistant Manager in food manufacturing from past 2 years. and my company is happy to apply work permit for me. but my first problem is that i dont have any high level Qualification. i am not even graduate in any field. so i am not sure if i can get workpermit.. anyhow if i get work permit then my second question is that, do i have to spent another five in UK for getting PR.? or my past 3 years will be accounted. i mean 3 years on EEA Family permit and 2 years on WORK Permit .???

Why can't you get a Portuguese passport? That would surely solve everything.

Your parents' Portuguese status ... they lived in Goa?

i have already applied for portuguese passport 4 years ago.. but there is no response from anywhere ... well i am from Diu... have you got any idea about moving my case fast..?? maybe you know any Solicitor..?
