Invitation Visa question

My girlfriend is Russian and living in Spain on a Spanish Residents permit. We want to get a visitor visa so that she can stay with me for one week. In doing my research I have seen that I need to provide 6 months bank statements and payslips. I have just changed my job. My new salary is £31K/pa, but unfortunately during the previous 6 months I have only been working part-time and earning the equivalent of £12K/pa. So I assume that this will go against me. However, I own my house outright, and have £110K savings and investments. Together with my new Employment, would this mitigate the lack of recent earnings?

What is it with peoples obsession to PM everything? It's a public forum...post your questions in here and when someone answers, it might help somebody else. If you want one on one advice, go pay a solicitor

Sadly with 100,000+ members we do get the odd bad apple or two - who are promptly invited to leave the community.
