BC for Spouse and Son

Post by ILR.dot.dot.dot » Tue Mar 08, 2016 2:05 pm

Hi All,

I have become British Citizen in Sep-15. I previously had Tier-1 and ILR.
My son (born in India when I was holding Tier-1) and my wife traveled on Tier-1 dependent visa to UK in 2010. Both of them had ILR for last 2 years.

I am planning to apply for BC for both of them. My question is:

1. Which Forms do I need to fill? MN1 for my son and AN for my wife?
2. Is there any other route I can take for my son as I am already British Citizen or it is via MN1 only?
3. I am planning to use 3 year route for my wife. Is that correct route?

I have already taken appointment for NCS for this Friday as fees is going up from 18th March.

Please help me fill the correct form.

Thanks.

1) Yes

2) No, use MN1

Apply under Section 3(1) of BNA - at discretion of Home Secretary

3) Yes, as spouse of BC.

Ensure proof of physical presence in UK 3 years before date of application.

How can I ensure the proof of physical presence in UK 3 years before the date of the application? I can just show the stamps in the passport.
