Help with U.K. Tourist visa advice

Post by Dg3993 » Tue Mar 08, 2016 6:03 pm

Hello everyone,

I apologise if this has already been discussed I'm new to the forum today and need to learn to navigate this forum better.

I am currently Engaged to a Venezuelan national who has been living in Spain for 12 years (12 months into waiting for the decision for his Spanish nationality) - just to provide a bit of background info.

I visit gran canaria many times, however, he would like to visit here, not only because it's always does the travelling, but also because I have asked him to move here with me once we are sorted with everything we need.
His work have finally (after countless attempts) allowed him to have two weeks holiday during their quiet period in May so my other half plans to come here then.

I'm worried we may not have enough time to get the visa sorted (nothing seems simple with the U.K.) and also if he can prove that he will purchase a return ticket/travel to and from the airport as well as where he is staying and that he has enough spending money for the 2 weeks (just like I would holidaying in Spain for 2 weeks), do you think we will have a problem?

I just want us to make sure we have everything we need and fill the application out correctly first time (I'm sure people can imagine how much two people who are separated are desperate to visit one another)

Thanks very much for reading and I look forward to any help anyone could offer us.
