Eligibility for Naturalisation

Post by mramay » Fri Mar 11, 2016 1:00 pm

Hi,

I received 3 points of driving license for 65 mph where the speed limit was 55 on M1. I received these points in December. Please guide me whether I can apply for Naturalisation now or have to wait until December 2016. I obtained ILR in January 2015.

Many Thanks in advance for your help

Were you offered a fixed penalty for this and did you accept it? If so, how many other FPN's have you had within the last year?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I received FPN for 3 points and around £100 fine. I accepted it and didn't go to court. I am driving from last 4 years and have no other points / FPNs.

Thanks

You should declare it but it should not affect your application. An FPN is not a conviction.

Write it in the additional information box on page 17.
