Biometric Residence Permit - when/where to pick up?

Hello,

I’m looking to apply for the Youth Mobility Visa and am confused by this sentence on the gov.uk website:

“You’ll have to collect your biometric residence permit within 10 days of when you said you’d arrive in the UK (even if you actually arrive at a later date).” (https://www.gov.uk/tier-5-youth-mobility/apply)

From previous research, it was my understanding that I have 30 days to enter the UK from the date of expected arrival I state on my application. Here it implies that I not only have to enter within 10 days of my date of expected arrival, but to pick up my BRP within that window as well. Or do I pick it up somewhere in Canada (where I'm applying from) within 10 days of my expected arrival date?

Can someone clarify this for me please?

I think you pick up your BRP card from a nominated UK PO now, others will know for sure though.

You have 30 days to enter the UK after the visa issue date and then 10 days after entry to collect the BRP from a designated Post Office.

Thanks, Wanderer and Casa. That's what I thought but the wording on the gov.uk site appears to state otherwise (unless I'm interpreting it wrong), so that's why I was confused.
