BRP

Post by Anndeep » Wed Mar 16, 2016 1:19 am

I am due to apply for naturalisation, two queries:
1. Should I be sending my ILR BRP card with the application? Will I still need fingerprints done again?

2. Five years legal residence is from when Tier 1 (G) was issued, which is now six years ago ie 2010 or it should be five years from now, which is 2011?

Regards

If you use NCS then you can keep BRP until you attend the ceremony. If applying by post, you will have to send the original.

You will be required to provide biometric again for naturalisation application.

Five year legal stay is 5 years before the date of the application. You need to be physically present in UK on that day.

...and 12 months after being granted ILR, unless married to a British citizen.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
