Youth Mobility to Tourist Visa

Hey Everyone

Seeking advice and was wondering if anyone could help. I'm a 27yr old Australian on a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa which is due to expire on the 15th of July. I can't seem to find much info on the matter, but was hoping to exit and re enter the UK after a short period of time. Was hoping to come back in on a tourist visa for maybe a couple of months with no intention of working. I'll be able to prove I have enough funds to support myself over that time and will have an outbound journey locked in.

There is no specific immigration rule that would prevent the possibility of doing what you are proposing, HOWEVER....

It comes all comes down to perceived intent and credibility and the magic phrase balance of probability. IMHO I think it will be a struggle as the view will be you have had two years in the UK on a visa that specifically does not allow switching or renewal and now you want to return within days / weeks.
