Tier 2 general extension- Change of job-Salary Requirement

Post by scher » Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:41 am

Hi,
I did come to uk on 13/09/2009 for my masters, have finished it,and currently working a s a software developer for nhs and my current salary is 24300 £p/a and I got my first Tier2 general visa from 24/01/2014 TO 14/04/ 2017.
Now I would like to change my Job as a software Tester and would like to find new employer for my Tier 2 general extension.
I would like to know the salary requrement and RLMT requirement when switching the job during tier 2 extension..
I saw the soc code for software tester is 2139.
Salary rates: New entrant: £20,800* / Experienced: £29,900

I have the following doubts, can some one please clarify my doubts..
1)Does my salary needs to be over experienced salary rate (ie over 29,900) or is it can be over New entrant and less than Experienced( ie somewhere between 20,800 to 29,900)

2)Do I need to pass RLMT and do I need to maintain funds for 3 months..
Thanks and Regards,
scher.

New salary has to meet experienced level.

RLMT has to be completed.

Funds side can be negated if your Sponsor ticks the box to say they will maintain you. Otherwise you have to demonstrate. Also be aware you will have the NHS surcharge to pay.

You can add him as a dependent at the time you extend your visa.
