Work permit changes and Indef leave to remain application

Hi,

I have been granted a work permit in Feb 2006 by my first company.I worked with them till 1 Nov 2007 where i changed employees. My current employee did not re-apply for my work permit while i worked here for a month but are now in the process of this and issued a letter stating this was missed due to admin issues by the company. I am now considering leaving this company and joing a new firm. How would this affect my application if it is currently in the pipeline? The current company has lodged an application which take 2/3weeks. Should i wait for this application to go through and then move to the new company by getting them to re-apply again for me? I just wana make sure all this changing does not afffect my Indef leave to remain application in 2011.
