COS sponsor maintenance error

Hi all

someone I know is applying for a tier 2. They recently received the COS (so passed all the RLMT etcettera) but forgot to Tick YES for one of the last boxes saying "Tick to confirm the sponsor certifies maintenance for the migrant". Now the sponsor agreed to certify maintenance for this person. Is this a major issue? is there any way of solving this and can this pose a major impediment to obtaining the VISA?

They could make a sponsor note on the SMS to say that they DO certify maintenance and they forgot to tick the box. If this is done before the visa is applied for the visa officer should take it into consideration.
