Visa for family member to provide additional care

Hello, many thanks for reading my topic.

I am a friend of a family of Bangladeshi origin, all members of the family are British citizens either by naturalization (adults) or birth (children under 18)

The father of the family is 43 and has been diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease and is slowly but surely becoming extremely disabled by it. I have assisted the family to access the correct benefits etc as he can no longer work. He receives care currently from his wife, brother and sister-in-law but as the brother works long hours, the wife and SIL do much of the day to day care, they both have young children too so are getting worn out. They are a fairly reserved family and are sometimes afraid to speak up to ask for help although I have got our local NHS & Adult Social Services involved in things like aids & adaptations.

The family have asked if there is any kind of visa or possibility of their bringing a relative over from Bangladesh, unpaid but fully funded and supported, to help them provide care as the disabled gentleman becomes more and more immobile. They are shy of having state-funded care services coming to visit and the medium prognosis is 24 hour care or a care home placement. If possible their ideal is for a fit young relative to live with them as family, provide care and support for the disabled person & family and maybe to learn English when time allows.

The relative would undertake to return when either their care is not sufficient, the arrangement is not satisfactory, or when he dies (his prognosis is terminal within 2-5 years).

Is there any kind of domestic work/voluntary work/care visa?

17.1 Entry Clearance

There is no provision in the Immigration Rules for issuing entry clearance on the basis of an applicant coming to the UK to care for a sick family member or friend. A person who wishes to enter the UK to provide short-term care or make alternative arrangements for the long term care of a friend/relative may do so under the Rules relating to general visitors.
