Working as a Volunteer while on Fiancee Visa

Post by Waterfall » Mon Apr 04, 2016 3:36 pm

Dear Sir/Madam,

I came to England on a Marriage visa of 6 months. I'd like to know if I can work as a volunteer while I am on a Marriage/ Fiance Visa.

I have been recently married and I am waiting for my visa to be processed soon. I applied to work as a volunteer with British Red Cross. I am not allowed to work now. However, I would like to know if it is alright to work in the UK as a volunteer (without any payment other than reimbursement of my transportation cost).

Thank you very much!

Afraid not. Whether paid or unpaid...it is still considered to be work.
