I had to take an appointment for the second time because they rejected my application for the first time. However when I was trying to book my appointment for the second time it was giving error message "OCI number already Registered". I tried work around by using rescheduling,cancelling appointment to change or remove the first appointment but it was coming with error message "Application expired".
Emailed info.inuk@vfshelpline.com but they were asking to try after 48 hours which is irrelevant because my appointment was on 29th March and today is 07th April. Which is definitely more than 48 hours.
Finally I have changed the OCI number by replacing single character in it by changing '0' number zero with 'o' letter o. The trick worked and I could book appointment. That way although if you look at OCI number of appointment sheet there wouldn't be much change in number.
Please share your experience. ....and how did you sort it.
