Tier 2 dependant - maintenance requirement

Hi everybody,

If anyone can help me, I have a question regarding Tier 2 Dependent visa application.

My intention is to bring my wife to UK (we got married few days ago, while I have been in the UK for some 3 months), but I have some doubts over the maintenance requirement.
I will ask my sponsor to provide me with the letter certifying maintenance for my wife, but I am not sure if this letter can be written only by someone from the HR, or a senior official signing the letter would be just fine?

At the same time, I see that a lot of people send documents such as Certificate of Sponsorship, Employment verification letter, payslips, etc., but these documents are not mentioned anywhere on gov.uk website.
Is this because people believe that one document more is better than one document less, or am I missing something here?

some might not agree, but it depends what nationality your wife is as well.
Some countries the norm of sending more documents as its more onerous to get visa from some countries.

Does anyone know if the letter in which my A-rated sponsor guarantees maintenance for my spouse needs to be signed by the HR, or I could also ask my manager (a senior official in the company) to sign the letter?
