CCJ and British Citizenship

Post by kay123 » Fri Apr 08, 2016 4:54 pm

Hi all,

I need some help before submitting my application with NCS end of this month.

Basically I found out in December that i have a CCJ against my name! from an old phone bill back an uni. It was put on my file in july 2013 for 600. Now since i found out I am paying it off with the debt company.

I am assuming all the letters where sent to my uni address including the CCJ

I know that i need to declare this however this is not really my issue.

I also lost my indefinite leave to remain back in 2014, I applied for a replacement last year. My question is since i never declared this CCJ in my last application with HO (i didnt know anything about it) will they think i lied in the previous app?

I intend on sending proof of payment and also a supporting letter to state how this CCJ came about and that i didnt know about it in my last app (or should i not include this bit) basically i just want to state the letters where sent to an old address and am sure they can even check on my file that it registered at a different address.

Will this affect my app and how?

Thanks in advance

Kay.
