Tier 2 Extension - Clarification on process and questions

Post by chbagan » Mon Apr 11, 2016 5:37 pm

Hello community members,

I had a few questions regarding Tier 2 General Extension and would be grateful if people could help answer the following please:

Background
I am on a Tier 2 General visa and I am the only one in my company and my current visa expires in December 2016. My employer does not have an unrestricted CoS and has missed the April 5 2016 deadline for applying and just applied today asking the Home Office for a CoS so that I can extend my visa once is expires.

Questions
1. Will my company be able to get a CoS even though they have missed the deadline?
2. If the answer to Question No.1 is No and if my company won't be able to get an unrestricted CoS then what would be an alternative solution?
2. If and once they get the CoS is it just a case of filing a fresh application again?
3. Over the past 3 years my salary has changed and I have been promoted. Although my role is within the same SoC code does it mean that my company will have to conduct a RMLT?

Thank you for your help in advance!

No problem.. They will get it in couple of weeks.
No rlmt needed.
Once they have been allocated a cos, they can assign it to you ( which takes around 10 min) and then you will be able to apply a new visa.
