Help: My Tier 2 extension and the Experinced salary rate

Post by dreamer2010 » Tue Apr 12, 2016 10:41 pm

Hello everyone,
I have a quick question for you, and hope your expertise will come to my rescue:

My job comes under SOC Code 2139
Experienced rate is £29,900 based on 39 hours/week

My annual salary is £24,717 and I only work 32 hours a week. Based on the below calculations, Do I still meet the salary requirements for my Tier 2 extension ?
(29,900/39)*32 = £24,533 ( which is below my salary)

Thank you,
Linda

Based on your calculation the salary would be acceptable.
However there will be scrutiny on the following point
Was your original COS for a 32 hours per week
If not then the role going forward could be considered as a non genuine role and subject to refusal.
