AWAITING ANUAL COS? MAKING ME NERVOUS!

Post by kitty4bs » Wed Apr 13, 2016 12:32 pm

Hi All,

I hold a licence certificate under Tier 5 creative and have requested our annual COS allocation, as I do every year.
It was requested on 23rd March 2016 but It hasn't bee approved yet?
Does anyone know how long this takes under the new rules? (it used to be super quick) but now they're saying it could take UP TO 18 weeks!!!!? Which is too late for me?

Can anyone let me know how long it took for theirs to come through in 2016?

Any advice anyone can give will be gratefully received.

Thanks so much.

Lately it has been taking longer than usual, and I have had to complain about that for 4 different clients.

The 18-week quoted service standard is totally unacceptable for such a simple process, in my opinion. They processed a bunch of allocation increase requests over the last 5 days, suggesting they are finally getting round to them. Some sponsors I know waited up to 5 weeks but no longer than that.

They want you to pay for "premium" - I bet when you phoned them up they suggested that.

Email the Business Helpdesk if you haven't already - they can nudge the caseworker who handles the requests. If you have a band or something you need to issue CoS to urgently give them details and stress the urgency.

Things should improve over the next few weeks. There has been an end of year drive on other revenue producing work streams.
