HSMP application! attention please

Hi Folks,

I am planning to apply in Mid Jan,2008. My proposed application will contain

- The prescribed application fee

- 30 points for Bachelor ( NARIC letter is available for verification)
- 45 points for past earning ; (my 12 months earning will be GBP40K+) on 7th Jan 2008, about AU$94600.

My earning is combination of working as salaried employee from 7th Jan,2007 to 15th Oct, 2007 and from 15th Oct onwards as Contractor.

To support my past earnings

- Tax return until June 2007, (as financial year in AUSTRALIA is July to June).
- Payment invoices from contracting company.
- letter from accout management company stating the gross income, tax withdrawn and Salary transferred to my bank account.
- Bank statement.
- letter from University, stating the mediun of communication as English for the degree program.

PS- I applied in 2003 and my application was rejected that time, shouls I mention the old Reference number in this application?

Please enlighten me if I am missing somethiong?

BTW- what is the average processing time these days? I will appreciate your help.

Dear Zia

Though you are making it 75 with quite an ease with only two sections of Qualification and Earnings but I would suggest you to include third section of Age as well if you are getting any score under this section. It is recommended because sometimes the CW calculates differently which makes you under the level of 75 its better to include that. Further you can easily get a comprehensive list of docs to be attached with your application form give it a search.

Well I can only claim point for my age or in other categories if I am uder 32 yrs of age which is not the case and I don't have British qualification or work experience either.

So I can only claim for
- education 30
- past earnings 45

I am only concerned about documents I need to attach for above two. Any thoughts?

As long as you are covering Salaries/Income/Tax return from IRD /Invoices /bank statements for last 12 months, then you should be fine. Make sure they are without any gap.

What I understood from HSMP guide lines, as supporing documents if one is salaried and freelance contracotr for period he is claiming points for

- Tax return (latest one) # I have only period covering from Jan to Jun 2007
- Contract stating the period of employment and salary rate
- Payment advice/ Invoices
- Bank statement

Are above documents enough to support my past earnings claim?

Any help would be highly appreciated please.
