Withdraw FLRO application and apply new visa

Post by Raja2016 » Wed May 04, 2016 1:51 pm

Hi,

I was on Tier 2 Visa but company's license was revoked and I couldn't find any sponsor in 60 days period. But I applied for FLRO before 60days expired and waiting for decision from UKVI. In meantime my wife came to the UK on student visa,

Can I apply for Dependent Visa to my wife and withdraw my FLRO application??
If I can apply for Dependent, would it be considered towards my 10 years long residence?

Please advise me further.

All continuous legal residence, whether as dependent or main applicant, counts towards Long Residence.

How long did you ask for to extend your stay and what was the reason in your FLR application?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I am not sure actually for how long my solicitor asked. I just wanted him to extend my stay for a while so My solicitor did just put few points during application that I am in the UK from last 7 years and studied here. I have my career and job here and never stayed illegal and paid all taxes in the country. I have settled my self in the UK.

Don't withdraw. Vary instead.

However, do check the latest immigration rules, to make sure that you are able to switch.
