Midwifery jobs and workpermit

Post by zhassan » Mon Jan 03, 2005 10:25 am

Hi moderators,
My wife has got 2 year lady health visitor and midwifery diploma from Pakistan after Bachelor and more than three years of field experience. Now we are living in Australia since last 12 months. What are the chances of getting a job( workpermit sponsorship).

We know that Health sector in UK is still lacking the skilled staff and we have got some of our family already settled in UK and this is one of the reasons we are interested to come UK.How NMC(Nursing & Midwifery Council) evaluates the diploma from overseas (in terms of working hours for every subject or overall course duration)?

Does work experience also affect the evaluation for registration with NMC?All informative responses are welcomed.

TIA
ZIA
