Hello,
I was hoping to get some advice/ information. I applied for ILR in the UK, and paid for the same day premium service of £1900. However, I quickly realised that I was not going to be able to make the appointment, so I cancelled. As instructed, I sent in an email to PSCAppointmentRefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk on the 11th of June.
I didn't get a response till the 25th of June, and the content of email was as follows:
" Dear Sir/Madam
As you cancelled your appointment 5 or more working days before the appointment date we will return the full fee to you. This will be returned onto the card used for payment. You should receive your refund within 28 days. If the original card is no longer available then a cheque will be sent to the payer via post.
If you want to book another appointment the fee(s) will need to be paid in full when you book as any refund cannot be deducted from these fee(s).
If you have any questions about the information in this letter please write to Immigration and Visa Services PSC Refunds Lunar House 40 Wellesley Road Croydon CR9 2BY"
Is the 28 days being counted from when I initially sent in the email/ or is it from the 25th when I received the email? In any case, today is the 16th of July, 3 weeks from when I received the email.. However I haven't received the refund yet. I have looked at previous posts related to this query on this forum and further online. Most people seem to receive their refunds within 10 days/ 2 weeks. With just a week to go till their 28 days deadline, I am getting a little worried as to whether I will be receiving my refund, as I have been screwed by the home office before (back logs with a previous application). £1900 is quite a bit of money that I am really desperate to get back. I look forward to hearing back from someone.
