Hi,
is an asylum seeker entitled for the HSMP program, I am a failed asylum seeker, graduated this year and my status in this country is not clear, do you think i can switch to the program? I had a work permit stamped in my IND document and may be ci ould work with, but doesn't mean that it sort out my status that I hope I can do it if I could find a way that my employer can sponsor me or anything like that, can anyone help please

Hi Salimnina,

Unfortunately not because you have to have a valid current leave to remain in certain category to be able to switch.
If you do not have such leave, you will be asked to leave the country and re-enter as a HSMP visa holder, in accordance with the Rules.
Have you got your approval on HSMP?
