Urgent Help Please!

Post by Bella » Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:55 am

Hello All,
Im hoping you all can help me out, since I've run out of luck. Iam married to a British citizen,we got married on the 3rd of November 2007 in London BUT we got married under an islamic law,not the London court system, anyways I found out Iam 2months pregnant and my hubby and I have been trying to find a way for me to stay here without having to go back especially now since Iam pregnant, cause if I go back to Canada and have him sponsor me as his wife,I dont know how long it'll take and I dont wanna have our first baby away from him,so I was wondering if my case would be abit different now since Iam pregnant.I need help please on what to do and if I have to go back ANYWAYS,when he's sponsoring me,does he include that Iam pregnant or what exactly.Thankyou in advance!

You'll have to return to Canada and apply for a fiancee visa, or apply for a CoA here and marry here, return to Canada and apply for a spouse visa. There's no way of switching in-country from a visitor visa, except under extreme circumstances, like terminal illness.

Please don't leave it so late you cannot fly, I'm sure the HO won't be sympathetic then you'll have a fight on your hands even getting a spouse visa....

Been reading lots of advise & topic here. I believe what the Guru said was right. U really need to go back to Canada to apply. There is no other way faster than that. Probably it would take few weeks for you to get the visa if u are well prepared with all your documents right now.
