waiver of inadmissibility???

hi there guys..
i was just wandering through webpages and went through a term "a waiver of inadmissibilty" i want to know what does dat mean and does this apply to uk immigration aswell...

It's a waiver for the US immigration system. I don't think it applies to the UK.

i dun remeber exactly wut the website is and whenever i searched for it in the google i always found it with rference to USA not to the UK..but i was just wondering if it has something to deal with immigration in UK....
