Travel through Europe with British Work visa

Post by Resolver » Wed Jan 23, 2008 3:33 pm

Hello, tell me please, is it possible for me to travel through european countries (Germany, France, Italy, etc.) if I work and live in Britain with British work visa, or do I have to get the shengen visa? How easily can I get one?

Thank you

.

It seems you are not an EU or an EEA citizen.

Therefore you need a Schengen visa to travel in Schengen countries. If you try to enter non-Schengen countries, you will need a separate visa for those countries.

The exception is that nationals from some countries (Canada, Australia, U.S. for obvious examples; there are others) have visa-free visit rights to all EU countries for up to 90 days.
