spelling mistake in visa PLZ HELP

friends i received my visa today.There is a spelling mistake in it.MY name is sadhu LAXMI ashwini. But instead of LAXMI it has printed as LAXRI. R inplace of M. what do i do ,my college starts on 4th feb .i have to be there at any cost as this is the last extension date.Will the consulate people change this early otherwise my college seat will be cancelled if i fail to enroll before 4th.what to do plz help me

i think your best bet is to go back to where the visa was issued

well i received visa on 25th and 26th and 27th are holidays so i am unable to meet or make a call to any concerned visa officer.IF i go to chennai consulate will they make the corrections within oneday or i have to go through the entire procedure of complaining and waiting for my number.I am really tensed as it may ruin my oppurtunity to go to UK i will be very disappointed if it happens plz do help me.

Take your passport and all your documents to the office on monday early am - when the office opens. Type a covering letter explaining the error and the fact your course starts on the 4th and ask that they re issue with the correct spelling. I am sure it will be done quickly as long as the error lies with them and not with your documents
