Italian Work permit/ Immigration

Dear All,

I would like to know the following

* is it possible to have work permit or immigration after arrival in italy in legall way on short / long stay business visa or tourist visa for 3rd country national.

* is there any chance that immigration will be open in italy in near future.

* can some one give any immigration lawer contacts in Italy or any website which have said information.

I can only see tighter controls as EU immigration harmonises and cheap labour pooled from the Eastern and Central European States.

I'd imagine the Highly Skilled resources will gleaned as before, from whatever EU state has historic ties with, UK from India/Pakistan, etc...
