HSMP Newbie - few questions about application

Post by blueSky » Mon Jan 17, 2005 10:30 pm

Hi everybody, I am new to this board and just have few questions about HSMP:

1. Can somebody, please, post a list of all the documents that you send to HO, when applying for HSMP. I know all the requirements, but just interested in exactly what docs people send, in case I missed something and need to add it. If such list already exists, can somebody post a link to it. I think this would be helpful to all people who are about to send their application.

2. How much money did you show to prove that you can support yourself.
I know there is no set amount, again I am just interested in what other people did.

4. What to do about conversion rate, my last year's income is just slightly over 27,000 pounds at current dollar conversion rate, but if dollar falls some more it will be less and I won't qualify, do I need to send the some prove of the conversion rate at the time when I applied??? What happens if when I send my docs my income is above 27000, but by the time they get them and start processing dollar falls and my income will be less than the required amount? Has anyone had this problem before???

5. Also would be interested in hearing from people that moved to UK from USA, your experiences, feelings and so on. I have been to UK only as a tourist and am very interested in hearing how both countries compare.

Bluesky,

Allyour answers are on the forum - you need to do some legwork and review the posts on the forum
