Try talking to someone from Migrant Rights Center Ireland (www.mrci.ie) or Immigrant Council of Ireland (www.immigrantcouncil.ie)

I suspect divorce in Ireland is a very slow process.

I may be wrong here, so someone please correct me if I am, but as far as I can tell, Stamp 4 is pretty much a green light for permanent residency, so long as you're not a burden on the State. I don't think you'll be refused. I think you can apply for citizenship now, assuming you've been here for 4.5 years legally. You must have been here for 5 years in order to qualify, but applications are currently taking 2 years to process, I believe. If you don't want to be an Irish citizen, you could (instead of citizenship) apply for Stamp 6 after 8 years of legal residence.

You only require 3 years of residency as the spouse of an Irish citizen to qualify for citizenship, not 5. So you could apply for LTR or for citizenship now.
