Hello All,
I am currently in UK on the International Graduates Scheme (IGS) Visa and am planning to apply for the HSMP in July 2008 so it will probably come under PBS Tier 1 by that time. During the past year I have been working at two places. One is my full-time job which I am still continuing while I worked part-time for a few months between October 2007 and December 2007 which is now finished. Since I finished my job before the end of tax-year (which is April) so they have given me P45 and will not be giving me the P60 which is only given if one is employeed at the end of tax-year which was confirmed by the HMRC website. Moreover the amount from that employment was below the tax-free allowance (I earned around 1400 pounds from there in 3 months) so no tax was deducted from the income. The employers calculate that automatically and I did inform them that I was doing it as a second job but they deducted tax in the first month and returned that in the second month.
The HSMP guidance says that only P60 is considered and not P45 but in my case I am not entitled to receive the P60 at all, so please let me know what documents do I need for my part-time earnings to be considered? I have all the wage-slips and bank statements to confirm the salary from that job and also received the P45 last week.
Please let me know if anyone has any information in this regard.
Thanks,
Faisal
